It’s déjà vu all over again

Yogi Berra

Yogi Berra

Yogi (Lawrence Peter) Berra died 22 September aged 90. RIP.

The quote that forms the headline for this blog has been attributed to the US Baseball player Yogi Berra. Amongst his other pithy sayings were: foresight is always better afterwards, we made too many wrong mistakes and when you come to a fork in the road, take it. He could be speaking about the Labour Party today. In my view no progress will be made unless and until we have developed a coherent and credible economic alternative to unbridled and uncontrolled capitalism and neo-liberal economics.

For my part I’m going to take some time out to enjoy the Rugby World Cup. Who knows? Wales might win and then I’ll resume.
